Introduction

Introduction

The Denison Organizational Culture Survey, or the DOCS, uses the Denison Model to link your organization's culture to bottom-line results. It provides a measure of the organization's progress toward achieving a high-performance culture and optimum results. The DOCS and related reports are written in the organizational language, making them powerful and user-friendly tools.

The DOCS is a 60-item survey developed by Daniel R. Denison and William S. Neale, M.A., M.I.L.R., that measures the specific aspects of an organization's culture based on the four traits and twelve management practices of the Denison Model. Individual surveys are collectively tabulated into a graphical profile that compares the organization's culture to global normative database of 1076 higher and lower-performing organizations.

Change Monitor

Change Monitor

The Denison Organizational Culture Survey: Change Monitor is an instrument that is utilized in conjunction with the Denison Organizational Culture Survey. Implemented after the debriefing of the Organizational Culture Survey results, the Culture Change Monitor allows the organization to select two indices to work on in the short-term. The Culture Change Monitor then monitors the organization's progress at 100-day intervals using a second shorter survey of 10 questions to measure the change in the two selected indices since the initial debriefing. Using the Culture Change Monitor promotes accountability and ensures that the organization follows through with its action plans. It also helps the organization test the effectiveness of its change initiative.
