Sexologist, Psychotherapist

Biography

Biography

As a sexologist and psychotherapist since 1996, member of the Ordre professionnel des sexologues du Québec, holder of a psychotherapist's permit issued by the Ordre des psychologues du Québec, and member of the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, Annie Fugère offers therapy services to individuals and couples at Y2 Consulting Psychologists.

Her training as a sexologist enables her to evaluate and treat affective, relational and sexual difficulties. She is trained in the cognitive-behavioural, sexoanalytic, sexocorporel, existential, and systemic approaches. Therefore, the therapeutic work consists in helping individuals and couples find ways of being and doing that are creative, significant and evolutionary.

On the psychotherapeutic level, stress management and increase in performance are part of her personal and professional interests. She uses techniques involving hypnosis, that open access to the imagination and the subconscious, thus maximizing the emergence of solutions.

Each therapeutic session of sexotherapy or psychotherapy lasts 50 minutes. The frequency of appointments generally varies between 2 and 4 sessions per month. The number of sessions varies between 10 and 30 meetings, in the short to medium term therapy. In general, the frequency of appointments and the number of sessions are determined along the process, depending on the client's (individual ou couple) progress and motivation.

Finally, She practices and teaches the mindfulness meditation. She also offers teaching services to individuals and groups, aimed at increasing productivity and efficiency at the personal, family and professional levels.
