Dr. Mélanie Brousseau, Psychologist

Dr. Brousseau is a clinical psychologist who specializes in treating couple issues and dealing with sexual difficulties. She obtained her Masters in Clinical Sexology at the Université du Québec à Montréal (UQAM) in 2003, and her doctorate in Clinical Psychology at UQAM in 2011. For her doctoral dissertation, she investigated sexual negotiation within couples. More specifically, her research interests are sexual coercion and consent within couples.

Clinically, Dr. Brousseau uses cognitive-behavioural and systemic (couple) approaches. She offers evaluation and treatment services for adults and couples. Her fields of expertise include anxiety and mood disorders, relationship problems, sleep/insomnia management, as well as sexual problems. Dr. Brousseau is fully bilingual, and offers her services in French and in English.
